The Alga collection by Nani Marquina is an invitation to the senses, inspired by seagrass landscapes. At first glance, its hand knotted organic shape stands out over a hand loomed dhurrie. However, the complexity of its design goes beyond its form. The biggest challenge was to create a visually dynamic rug while using such long fibers. The collection has been crafted using a combination of different fibers: Afghan wool, New Zealand wool, New wool and Jute.
