Aura, designed by Danish studio Norm Architects, was conceived with the aim of being more than just a chair around a table. From the outset, the design was conceived as an integral part of a communal setting: an element capable of contributing to the atmosphere of the space and reinforcing the sense of togetherness among those gathered around the table. The design focuses on the balance between openness and protection. The backrest naturally envelops the body, offering comfort and a sense of intimacy, without appearing visually heavy or dominant. The chair thus maintains a light presence in the space, whilst providing generous and welcoming support. Aura is designed to accommodate different ways of sitting over time. You can lean forward during a conversation or adopt a more relaxed posture: the seat supports both positions without imposing a rigid posture. This design flexibility makes it particularly suitable for settings where people spend long periods around a table, such as dining areas, meeting rooms and hospitality spaces. Its balanced proportions and soft lines define a minimalist, contemporary aesthetic, consistent with a design philosophy that places the user experience at its heart. The attention to detail and the quality of the finishes help to create a chair that interacts with the interior architecture in a subtle yet distinctive way.
