Kito is a family of side chairs and armchairs in solid wood designed by Naoto Fukasawa. Crafted from local, sustainably sourced wood in partnership with Amish woodworkers in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The name Kito stems from the Japanese word for wood, "ki". Given to a chair defined by its material, the name speaks to Fukasawa's design philosophy of simplicity and material honesty. Kito's seat shape is inspired by vintage Emeco chairs that often share a similar generous, inviting form. Comfort and durability, in the warmth of solid wood. Kito comes in White Oak, Walnut and Black-stained Oak.
