Ahkka lounge armchairs, designed by Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune, originate from a soft and essential formal language, characterised by gentle curves and rounded edges. The name is inspired by the tenth highest peak in Sweden, a landscape shaped over millennia by the glaciers of the Ice Age that have smoothed and sculpted the mountains of the far North. Designed for contemporary settings, Ahkka lounge armchair combines sculptural aesthetics with ergonomic comfort, becoming an ideal solution for lounge areas, reception spaces, hospitality environments and modern offices. The outer surfaces, continuous and harmonious, define an enveloping volume capable of enhancing professional and contract settings with an elegant and distinctive presence. The Ahkka lounge armchair collection includes a high-back wingback version, a standard-back version, and a matching footstool. The wingback version, thanks to the more enveloping shape of the backrest and armrests, creates a sense of protection and privacy within open-plan environments, making it perfect for moments of relaxation or private conversations. The footstool can be paired with both versions to further enhance the level of comfort. Ahkka lounge armchair is supported by a swivel base and incorporates an adaptive mechanism concealed beneath the upholstery, designed to naturally follow the movements of the body.
